ARTICLE 6
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

6.01
  1. The following shall be considered as Statutory Holidays for each of which employees shall receive one (1) full day's pay without having to work:
    Labour Day      New Years Day
    Good Friday     Thanksgiving Day
    Easter Monday   Remembrance Day
    Victoria Day    Christmas Day
    Canada Day      Boxing Day
    B.C. Day 
    
    And all other statutory holidays as may be declared or observed by Federal or Provincial governments.

  2. All employees shall be paid for statutory holidays providing they have worked at least five (5) days during the twenty (20) working days immediately preceding the day on which said holiday is observed and the employee has not been absent without permission on the day preceding and the day following the holiday.

    Employees who do not work forty (40) hours per week shall have their pay for statutory holiday pro-rated in accordance with the following formula:
    Hours worked in last 20 days  x 8 hours pay
              160 hours
    
  3. Statutory holidays will be observed on the day that they occur. However, employees on a regularly scheduled day off at the time of the statutory holiday shall observe that statutory holiday on the closest working day prior to or immediately following the day on which it occurs.

  4. All employees who are required to work a regular shift on statutory holidays shall receive time and one-half for their actual hours of work on such holidays and in addition shall be given a day off with full pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Company and the employee. This provision is applicable upon successful completion of the probationary period.
