LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING NO. 2
ONE MAN DELIVERIES
It is understood and agreed that deliveries under the care and control of the Company require one-man, except where determined by the Company, after due consultation with the Union, to be operationally feasible to be two-man deliveries.

It is agreed that the Company may establish the position of Lumper. The intent of establishing this position is to assist the Driver in deliveries with regard to safety, customer service and operational efficiency. It is agreed that severed BDL employees will be given preference over other applicants.

The Lumper rate will be that of a casual employee. If the Lumper position is filled by a regular benefit status employee that employee shall be paid his prevailing rate. The work schedule will be of a flexible nature and decided by the Company with regard for customer service, operational feasibility and operational effectiveness as identified by the drivers.
